Vaccination and disease prevention
When you bring a puppy into your home, health becomes your number one priority. We know that veterinary schedules can seem complicated, but it's actually quite simple once you know the basics. Let's break it down.
Why is vaccination important?
Vaccination is a kind of "shield" for your dog.
We at our kennel take this very seriously, and we want you to continue this work with us.
Our recommendation:
You receive a puppy with a full course of vaccinations and treatments. After receiving it, you can immediately walk and explore the world)
But at the age of 4–6 months, we strongly recommend an additional comprehensive vaccine along with the rabies vaccination. (DHPPi+LR)
This is a very important stage for the formation of a strong immunity of the baby. In the future, these vaccines (complex + rabies) need to be repeated once a year. This is your reliable protection for the dog's entire life.
Don't forget about deworming
Before each vaccination, the body must be prepared. Therefore, it is very important to drive away parasites
• When: Be sure to do this 7–10 days before the scheduled vaccination. The vaccine should work on immunity, not on fighting parasites.
• How often (up to a year): Since puppies are very active and learn the world "by the teeth", up to a year we recommend (based on the international WSAVA protocol) to carry out deworming regularly - every 21–30 days.
• How often (after a year): As the dog gets older, the schedule can be made less frequent - every 2–3 months.
It is best to consult your veterinarian about this, as he or she knows what you are feeding and what the risks will be for your dog.
The best way to avoid missing these dates is to enter treatment details into your vet passport or mark the dates on your phone.
Our advice: If you notice that your dog has become less active, or you simply have doubts about his condition, it is better to consult a doctor once again. Your attentiveness is the best medicine! Nothing happens just like that.
